The Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) Bangaluru established at the initiative of Plantation Industry in 1993 to provide professional management education in the field of plantation sector. The leading units from plantation & Agri-business industry, four Commodity Boards, namely Coffee Board, Rubber Board, Tea Board & Spices Board, and Plantation Associations, viz. Indian Tea Association (ITA) & United Planters' Association of Southern India (UPASI) are its founding partners. IIPM is registered as a society at Bangalore under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.
